How Can I Be Successful: Stop the God-Did-Game; A Story of Temmy Cephas.

Temmy’s parents have never wanted her to become a singer. She was never supported since she went ahead with the arts and not sciences as a senior secondary school student. Her father would visit the school to register her as a science student, but she would not attend a class with them until the counselor rings the bell; “Hello, Mr Cephas, your daughter has proven bent on her decision never to be the scientist that you wanted. Well, we can only help you by helping her to toll the path of her visions, and we hope for a better future for her and family”. She hung the phone as Cephas hung his support for his daughter. His wife would also do likewise.

Temmy is left in the middle of her melodies, and her life would ever sound silent until nothing worked except that a clergy helped her towards singing Gospel songs. Temmy felt a pore began to fill up that no one but the God of her talent could. Not even her earthly father. She turned a love singer and she pours it all on God. She has no night to sleep – God would come to the room to inspire. She would train her vocals until she could sound like each key on the board. Soon, Temmy comes to stardom, and family would come to ask; ‘how did you get here?’

Temmy sincerely gets tired of all stories to tell than say “It’s God!”. Then Mr Cephas replies; “Yes, it is God, but he needed you to believe, even when no one believed in you. So, if you ever failed, be sure never to blame God. You first failed to believe!”

Reality has proven, that when man believes in a path, they tread it. The functionality of believe is however the action that follows. This would equally mean that no man claims to believe in a thing and fail to give what their belief demands. A soldier’s belief was the spore; that he could be a patriot of national peace, by gunning down an enemy at a time, then he validates this by setting out on a journey of life and death. Automatically, actions validate belief. And this is how to be successful. Therefore, if a man cannot blame God for their belief or unbelief, then they are not just to blame God for their success or failure.

Many factors afford man success, and they branch into both physical things and as well as things that are not touched but are evident – they may include hope, faith, favour, help, providence, grace and more... It has become normal, however, that too many persons and (especially) those who bear the realities of providence within their beings give all the possibilities for success to God as the sole factor and determinant. However, while men could possibly mark the hand of God in all their endeavours, there are too many things that their zest for excellence would do, and God intentionally and naturally would not. Demystifying these thing help to know when sincerely to give the right kudos or allot the right blame for the outcomes of attempts towards success in life – be it splendid or itchy.

A man’s belief on a path of success keeps them going even if they fell a hundred times. Yet, they sincerely bear behind their zest that they could only be the reason for their failures because the vision they see is too promising to be untrue. They believe it will turn out well if they worked well, even when they have the Mighty hands underneath their feet in life.

Know when to blame you and when to keep doing what you should, even when you are ever thankful to God.

Actions follow belief else there is no result nor proof of belief. Beautiful piece bro.

  5. This is a beautiful piece and I love the balance that lies in the write-up. There are things you need to do and steps you need to take to succeed and there is the part where God plays his own role.

You can't neglect your part and expect excellence in your endeavours. The relationship is meant to be symbiotic. This is the major lesson I learned from your write-up. keep up the good work, sir.
